For those of you that may not have known, We have
been at Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show. today we
received a $5,000.00 grant from Mass Bay Railway Enthusiast sthat was
presented today at the Hobby Show.
Trustee George Small and Corey Fothergill, club member and one of the worker's on the project received the grant today. Pictured in front of of our table at the show are Jackson and Jordan Small.
Had a very good day at the show. A lot of people stopped by the
table and a lot of stuff was handed out and picked up. Membership
applications were also pick up by a few people and hopefully that will
transpire to some new members. Looking forward to tomorrow to see how second
day goes. I believe this will be a successful show and one we should
keep going to. Shows like this we need to make our present at to drumming up
new members.
I think I've updated my group so that everyone on here want's to
on this group. Again as I send out notifications we are up to 90 members on
receiving their newsletter by e-mail only and the more it saves the club
money in all aspects from stamps to paper to printing. Also as you know
when you receive the newsletter by mail the front page picture is only
page that is color, if you receive it by e-mail all pictures are color and you
get the newsletter next you check your e-mail after I send it out.
So think of maybe of getting it by e-mail to save club money and if you
know of another member that has e-mail let them know we are on
e-mail now for newsletter incase they don't know. So have a good
rest of your weekend.
